The word “believe” is a verb. The word “belief” is a noun. Your answer must always be 100% accurate for the listening test – not a variation of the word or a paraphrase.

Im just wondering, if i would have answered believe instead of belief, would it also been correct? Im a bit confused as i never saw this spelling with f and without e.

In reply to zhu longpeng. You start preparing for the IELTS test and developing understanding of the test when your English is at the level you need for your score. If your English is only band 4 and you want to get band 6 or 7 in your test, you will focus on English, not IELTS. As soon as you feel your English is strong enough, then you focus on IELTS skills.

Hey, Liz,Thanks for your preparations for us to pass the IELTS.
Now I got some problems about improving my English listening skill.
May be my English listening is poor.
When i face to these qustions, it’s difficult for me to understand what you said in this practice.

on bethoven’s passage for question number 6. how is the answer true? it did mention he was getting deaf nearly but did not mention the year. so, how is that true?

I don’t have one page or one lesson which focuses on all aspects of grammar for all types of task 1 writing. I suggest you review all my model answers and make notes on sentence structure, tenses, prepositions, articles, noun phrases, clauses, word order etc etc. Model answers can be used for more than only studying structure or general content. Hlo mam ..I am not able to use proper grammer in task 1 ..and to be honest I don’t know which grammer is to be use in different graphs charts etc could u plz tell me mam..r can u plz tell me the accurate souce where ..would I find ..proper … instructions tht how to or what grammer we should use in task 1..I would be very helpful if u rply…??

In reply to Tahsin Tabassum Suba. It doesn't affect your score. The examiner is not allowed to explain the cue card to you or discuss anything. There is a strict limit on the words they can use in speaking part 2. It is always important to know this before you enter the test room. Asking doesn't impact your score, but it might affect your confidence during your test.

hi Liz, today was my speaking exam. during cue card, i asked the examiner to elaborate. to which he didn’t reply, just said..”you have seven second left to generate your answer.” then i answered the question. i have a feeling that i did well. but my question is, will this affect my score?
